We concern about "2025 strategy on Reversing the Noncommunicable Disease (NCDs) Epidemic". For example, extending NCD services to primary health care level. Making a commitment of all countries to 25% relative reduction in overall NCD mortality by 2025.
The aim for the target depends on the citizen to
1. reduce 10% in the alcohol use,
2. reduce 30% in prevalence of current tobacco use in persons aged over 15 years,
3. reduce 30% in mean population intake of salt,
4. reduce 25% in prevalence of raised blood pressure,
5. reduce 50% in the proportion of households using solid fuels (wood, crop residue, dried dung, coal and charcoal) as the primary source of cooking
6. reduce 10% in prevalence of insufficient physical activity
7. halt in the rise of obesity and diabetes
The government should increase 80% availability of affordable basic technologies and essential medicines, including generics, required to treat major NCDs in both public and private facilities.
Editorial group comment:
Even though Pioneer MedLab Healthcare Services Limited is a small scale of medical laboratory for community health care, we will try our 100% to provide affordable basic technologies and essential medical laboratory tests and execute more healthcare plannings running into all Hong Kong communities!
In this point of view, our company, Pioneer MedLab Healthcare Services Limited, would like to go inside the communities, through health check, to spread medical information and to popularize the public for the concept of "prevention is better than cure", improve sub-health life, and reduce chronic diseases rely much more on the public health care system.
